Diversity in British Columbia

Diversity is about acceptance and respect. It means more than just being able to tolerate differences. We need to embrace and understand each person’s uniqueness regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, status, age, abilities or beliefs.

British Columbia offers a welcoming environment where many cultural, religious and linguistic communities are represented. We have dynamic, multicultural communities that celebrate diversity. In B.C., the rights of everyone are respected. This creates opportunities for everyone. Our cultural backgrounds might be different, but the goal is the same: to have a successful and enjoyable life in British Columbia, Canada.
