Did you know...?

British Columbia is a large province - four times as big as Great Britain and two and a half times bigger than Japan.

It has eight distinct regions. Some regions, like the Thompson-Okanagan, are agricultural centres. Others, like the Northeast are booming due to oil and gas exploration. Vancouver and the Metropolitan area - home to two million people - is a major gateway for the Asia Pacific Rim and a key hub for business, people and transportation.

For economic information specific to each of the different regions in B.C., visit the Regions section of this website as well as the community and regional profiles on Trade and Invest British Columbia and WorkBC.
