Entry Level and Semi-Skilled

How to Apply
Before You Apply
Carefully follow these steps:
- Review the requirements for Entry Level and Semi-Skilled.
- Complete the application forms.
- Review Frequently Asked Questions.
- Contact us if you have any questions about eligibility or the program.
Remember, the employer and the nominee applicant must submit a joint application.
You do not have to use a representative to apply to the BC PNP. The program is designed for you to be able to complete the process on your own. If you do choose to use a representative, they must meet the requirements for authorized representatives.
Nominee applicants under the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled category must have worked for their employer in BC full-time in an eligible occupation for a period of nine consecutive months prior to the submission of their application. The nominee applicant must also maintain employment with the BC employer throughout the application process. Work experience that forms an integral part of a program of study (co-op) or is obtained using an Off-Campus Work Permit does not qualify towards this nine month work experience requirement.
Employment Confirmation
Employers supporting an application in the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled category are required to submit a copy of the Labour Market Opinion (if applicable) obtained from Service Canada that authorized the original hiring of the nominee applicant under the federal Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
Employers must also submit official records of remuneration, i.e. the nominee applicant’s wage statements for the nine month period preceding their application to the BC PNP.
Steps
- Before submitting an application, make sure all the necessary forms have been completed and signed. Photocopies of all completed Citizenship and Immigration (CIC) documents are required. Do not send the completed originals to CIC until you have been notified by BC PNP. Attach all relevant supporting documentation and include the BC PNP processing fee. Any monies such as cheques or money orders should be made out to "MINISTER OF FINANCE". The application checklist (PDF - 665 KB) will help you assemble the application package.
