Programs
B.C. Settlement and Adaptation Program
The primary goal of the British Columbia Settlement and Adaptation Program (BCSAP) is to support immigrants and refugees settling in B.C.. The Integration and Multiculturalism Branch oversees the planning, funding, implementation and management of BCSAP. Most funding for BCSAP is provided by the federal government.
Welcoming and Inclusive Communities and Workplaces Program
The Welcoming and Inclusive Communities and Workplaces Program (WICWP) is a three-year initiative that fosters inclusive, welcoming and vibrant communities across B.C. The goal is to build communities where immigrants can realize their full potential, racism is eliminated, and cultural diversity is valued and celebrated.
BCSAP Projects
Current projects include Early Childhood Development, Step Ahead, and Labour Market.
Immigrant settlement agencies
The Integration and Multiculturalism Branch at the Ministry of Regional Economic and Skills Development funds contracts with third-party agencies to provide essential settlement services for newcomers.
